Piecework

How Piecework works

Piecework is an escrow contract for payments split into agreed work stages on Robinhood Chain.

Agreement

The client specifies a worker, a separate arbiter, an asset, one to eight stage amounts and deadlines, an acceptance deadline, and a review period. The full amount is transferred when the agreement is created. The worker must accept the terms before the acceptance deadline.

Delivery and payment

The worker submits a nonzero evidence hash for the current stage before its deadline. A hash records a reference; it does not prove that work was satisfactory. The client can approve payment immediately. If the client does not act during review, anyone can trigger payment when the review period ends. The contract charges 0.3% on amounts awarded to the worker.

Disputes

The client can dispute a submitted stage before review ends. The selected arbiter may award 0% to 100% of that stage to the worker and return the balance to the client. A stalled or biased arbiter can leave funds locked. Both parties should verify the arbiter address before funding.

Exits

Before worker acceptance, the client can cancel and recover all funds. After acceptance, an unsubmitted stage can be cancelled after its deadline. The worker can withdraw from future work while the current stage remains open.

Assets and limits

The contract accepts only configured USDG, AAPL Stock Token, and NVDA Stock Token addresses. It does not perform a swap, assess delivery, or guarantee an asset price. Both parties need ETH for transactions.

Deployment and verification

Mainnet deployment pending. The app remains in read-only mode until a contract address is verified and published.

Security status

Local functional tests and a public testnet flow with mock assets passed. An independent security audit has not been completed. Review the contract source and use suitable stage sizes.
